About Science Museum

The Science Museum of the University of São Paulo promotes thematic exhibitions and has developed virtual collections that will allow more accessibility for the general public.

Throughout its 75 years, the University of São Paulo inherited, acquired and generated heritage assets. There are many collections representing several fields of knowledge, such as those that integrate the Exact and Biological Sciences, Humanities, Arts and Technology. Museums and collections containing documents, equipment and even preserved animals and plants have been incorporated and created.

With the intention of using and disseminating this huge cultural and scientific heritage, the Pro-Rectory of Culture and University Extension organized the Science Museum in 2002, whose mission is to articulate and reveal that wealth to the community.

The Science Museum, to fulfill its objectives, promotes thematic exhibitions and has supported the development of virtual collections that will allow greater accessibility for the public.
